5. Technology stops for no one. Announcing “32 bit total sound resolution”. Imagine a movie camera taking pictures at the rate of 1,048,576 snapshots per second and resulting clarity of the picture if that were possible. Well, that is what we do with the “audio recording” of each pipe! Compare this to competitive organs boasting of their CD quality resolution, which is only 65,536 steps. JOHANNUS uses an additional 983,040 steps per second for sound quality 256 TIMES BETTER THAN CD!

6. “Three-Dimensional, Real-Time, Multi-Point, Live Sampling”. 32 bit sound resolution is just one part of the total picture of JOHANNUS. To further augment tonal perfection we record pipes using several microphones and placements around the pipe, resulting in multiple recordings for each pipe to fully capture all harmonic detail. On site recording further captures the tonal contributions of the projection case and harmonic content. And unlike our competitors, we do not process (modify) the original samples (recordings). Hence the “Real-Time” authenticity of JOHANNUS.

7. JOHANNUS provides more Envelope Generators (pitch sources). Many digital organs share pitch sources or actually drop out stops, notes or harmonic detail as you build up to full organ. JOHANNUS retains the full harmonic and pitch detail by allowing each note of each rank to be assigned an independent pitch source as you play, so even a full organ setting retains full ensemble and harmonic content equal to that of a pipe organ sounding an equal number of pipes.

8. JOHANNUS knows that a real pipe organ speaks into a room from many locations. This is why we provide many channels of audio separation using many amplifiers and speaker systems. Just like a pipe organ, you’ll hear different ranks of pipes speak from different areas, surrounding you with natural ambiance augmented by the advanced digital effects generation system of acoustic enhancement found on every JOHANNUS organ.

9. JOHANNUS provides more Digital- to- Analog Converters (DACS). Digital information (sampled sound) cannot be heard so sample data must be converted into many complex fundamental and harmonic waveforms (analog signals). JOHANNUS uses more DACs than competitive instruments. In addition, only the highest quality DACs are used in order to retain the detail, massive ensemble, pitch, fundamental and harmonic content as the original organ pipes.

10. Note-by-Note and Rank-by-Rank Voicing control. With our special software (Intonat 4.0) and laptop computer JOHANNUS organs can be extensively voiced. Superb levels of tonality adjustment, rank-by-rank ensemble controls, wind supply per division, tremulant control per stop, extensive volume leveling per note for each rank and scaling are accomplished on site, to give you your personal instrument. Even a pipe organ can’t match our control capabilities.

12. JOHANNUS organs sold in America are built to meet the specifications of the American Guild of Organists. Tonal configurations are designed for American desires, such as Aeolian Skinner pipes for Symphonic sound, but we also provide a Baroque specification in the same organ, so important for classical literature. At the touch of a tab you can go from one set of sampled pipes to a very different set of samples, and all stops are independent, no borrowing between the two specifications or within a specification so each set of samples can be independently voiced via the 4.0 Intonation Software. And alternate stop choices are also available to meet your tonal requirements at very reasonable cost.

13. We manufacture our own organs! When you invest in a JOHANNUS organ you have selected an instrument of uncompromising quality and value. The ability to purchase your instrument directly from an authorized importer/dealer eliminates inflated pricing of a sub-contractor or middleman.
