At the Johannus Organ Company, every organ is technically a custom built organ. No organ is built until it is ordered by a client, and then it is built according to the specifications of the client. So the Johannus customer has the opportunity to add a personal touch to the organ of choice, whether it's a different shade of oak or even a different wood for the cabinet, additional stops or an antiphonal system. Virtually anything can be done, simply for the asking.  Cabinetry All Johannus organs are built with oak cabinetry, with the customer's choice of a light or dark finish. The color of the tint can be altered or the cabinet could made out of walnut, mahogany or even cherry wood. For the decorator, the factory can even match a color sample sent to them. Decorative Speaker Assemblies Some facilities don't have an appropriate location for utility speakers, and so Johannus has a wide variety of beautiful oak speaker assemblies to choose from, including assemblies with decorative pipes. There is even an assembly with pipes, the SP-2, that is designed to sit on top of the organ console itself, giving the organ a "positif" look. Customization Johannus can customize the design of your organ any way you wish, from larger amplifiers, or additional or substituted stops, to an adjustable music rack or even hand-made wooden keyboards with "tracker" touch. Accessories Johannus Classic Sound Module CSM-128 The new Johannus sound module has created quite a stir in the organ world. It is by far the most flexible of the modules available and utilizes the same renowned Johannus 20-bit technology that has become the industry standard. Designed at the request and under the supervision of American musicians, the CSM-128 is simplicity itself to use. A menu screen reduces the number of buttons to deal with, yet the design allows the user to have as many as 16 voices playing simultaneously. Designed for the classical organist, there are no guitars, explosions or helicopters, only organ and classical orchestral sounds, as well as a few unusual sounds, like hand bells, carillon, and the sound of trackers. DSA-4 Surround Sound System The DSA-4 is a "room sound" system designed to help correct strange room acoustics and to fill a dead room with the sound of a cathedral. The system comes with 4 bookshelf studio monitors and has 16 different reverb programs to choose from, as well as controls to customize the reverb program to suit the room and the tastes of the owner. There are also connections for a second instrument or source to be plugged into the unit. Adjustable Bench The Johannus adjustable bench adjusts with a crank, allowing the smallest adjustments for the perfect playing height. The adjustable bench can be ordered to fit over any type of pedal board, and if it's being purchased for an existing installation, with virtually any finish desired.The bench may also be ordered with a back rest. Antiphonal Systems Antiphonal systems are available on any instrument. The cost will depend on the instrument and the design and separation of the divisions, and activation control can be assigned to a knob or a tab/draw knob. Intonat Voicing Software The Intonat voicing software allows the artist to go into the memory of the computer and change, key by key, the sound of the stops, the volume of each note within the stops, the volume relationships of the stops to each other or adjust the speed and depth of the tremulants. These orchestrations can be saved in the organ, or on a floppy disk and downloaded in less than a minute, and there is a button that recalls the factory defaults in the event that the voicing experiments have gone so far that the stop no longer sounds like an organ. |
